BIOGRAFI IMAM SYAFI'I
Imam Syafi'i dilahirkan di Ghozzah(Gaza),Palestina pada tahun 150 H.Syafi'i kecil adalah seorang yatim dalam asuhan sang ibu.Sang ibu berusaha mendidiknya dengan pendidikan Islam yang benar.Sebagai buktinyasang ibu berusaha menyekolahkannya di kuttab(baca:tempat belajar Al-Qura'n).Syafi'i kecil pun tampak pandai dan cerdas.Bahkan Syafi'i kecil sering menggantikan gurunya untuk mengajar.Sebagai upahnya,Syafi'i bia sekolah gratis di tempat itu sampai dia hafal Al-Qura'n.
setelah hafal Al-Qur'an,Syafi'i kecil keluar dari kuttab.Selanjutnya,Syafi'i kecil melanjutkan menghafal hadis.ia rutin menghadiri majelis-majelis ulama.Di sana,ia mendengar banyak hadis dan permasalahan umat sehingga ia hafal luar kepala.Syafi'i kecil sangat bersemangat menuntut ilmu.Sampai-sampai ia pernah meminta kepada sang ibu untuk dibelikan kertas agar ia bisa menulis.Namun,sang ibu tidak punya uang untuk membeli kertas.Syafi'i kecil tidak putus asa.Ia tetap bersemangat untuk mencari ilmu.Walau tidak bisa membeli kertas,Syafi'i kecil berusaha mengumpulkan tulang dan papan untuk mencatat hadis yang didengarnya.Setelah selesai mencatat,tulang dan papan itu disimpan baik-baik.Selain belajar dari majelis-majelis,beliau juga belajar bahasa arab yang fushah(baca:baku) kepada kabilah Hudzail
Semangat syafi'i kecilpun semakin berkobar.Ia berkeinginan keras untuk menimba ilmu hadis Imam Malik,ulama besar Madinah saat itu.Ia berusaha menyiapkan bekal sbelum berangkat ke Madinah.Diantara bekalnya adalah ia menghafal Al Muwatta Imam Malik-sampai hafal di luar kepala.Kemudian berangkatlah beliau ke Madinah menemui Imam Malik sehingga Imam Malik terkagum dengannya.
Imam Syafi'i adalah ahli fikih dan hadis yang terkenal.Beliau mempunyai banyak guru dan murid.Beliau banyak menulis berbagai macam buku seperti Al Umm,Ar Risalah.dll.Sampai-sampai Imam Ahmad bin Hambal,berkata:"saya baru mengenal Nasikh Mansukh Hadis setelah belajar dari Imam Syafi'i".Kemudian beliau membaca hadis:"Seungguhnya di setiap 100 tahun,Allah mengutus mujaddid(orang-orang yang mengajarkan agama)untuk umat ini".Imam Ahmad menegaskan bahwa mujaddid pertama adalah Kholifah Umar bin Abdul Aziz dan mujaddid kedua adalah imam Syafi'i
Imam Syafi'i wafat pada tahun 204 H.Semoga Allah merahmatinya.Beliau telah memberikan teladan bagi kita semua bagaimana mengisi waktu muda.Wahai pemuda dan pemudi hendaknya engkau bersemangat menuntut ilmu agama.lihatlah bagaimana Imam syafi'i ketika masih muda?berfoya-foyakah?Tentu tidak!Mari kita simak nasehat beliau,"Wahai audaraku,engkau tidak bisa memperoleh ilmu kecuali dengan 6 syarat yaitu kecerdasan,kerakusan(terhadap ilmu),bersungguh-sungguhlah memiliki biaya,belajar ke pengajar,dan waktu yang lama.Hidup di dunia hanya sementara,mari kita maksimalkan hidup ini dengan hal yang bermanfaat untuk akhirat
